Will Newt Gingrich Run For President?

Posted: July 13th, 2010 | Author: Ian Kelly | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , | 2 Comments »

The long and short of it: Yes. I totally believe he will.

He has been spending a whole lot of time in Iowa laying a good foundation for the “first in the nation” caucuses as well as lending his clout to nominee’s for the House and Senate across the nation.

via Chicago-Sun Times:

Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Monday he’s seriously considering seeking the Republican presidential nomination and will announce his decision early next year.

Gingrich, 67, said he would focus on helping Republican candidates through the midterm elections in November, then decide in February or March whether to seek the GOP nomination.

“I’ve never been this serious,” Gingrich said.

“It’s fair to say that by February the groundwork will have been laid to consider seriously whether or not to run,” he said.

Gingrich predicted President Obama would be a one-term president. Obama’s poll numbers have dropped below 50 percent, and Gingrich predicted they would continue to fall, making him vulnerable in 2012.

Unlike President Bill Clinton, who rebounded from first-term problems by pushing for welfare reform and budget balancing changes that pleased moderate voters, Gingrich argued that Obama shows no inclination to move toward the center.

“He’s not like Bill Clinton,” Gingrich said. “Bill Clinton was an Arkansas, Southern Baptist, sort of understood middle American. While he had some Yale overtones being liberal, the truth is Bill Clinton was quite happy to move to the right.”

If you are unfamiliar with Newt Gingrich he was the Speaker of the House for much of President Clinton’s administration and as remained a political operative since resigning from Congress in 1998.

If he runs he will be a serious contender and if Obama’s polling numbers continue to hover around the 47-48 approval percentile he will be vulnerable come election time.

As an added bonus here is a video of Newt questioning Obama’s knowledge of where America is at right now:

I Pledge…

Posted: September 2nd, 2009 | Author: Ian Kelly | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , | 5 Comments »

… to throw up if I see one more piece of propaganda tonight!

Enjoy:

What’s more, this video was shown at a public school. “I pledge to serve the President.” and “I pledge to serve Barack Obama.” And who is exactly is doing all this pledging? For the most part… Hollywood. (Because we care what they say.)  Ok, maybe we don’t but kids do… thus Ahston Kutcher is front and center.

I’m all for patriotism but middle school indoctrination might be a bit too much for me.

But hey! While we’re at it. I pledge to work for the ending of abortion. BAM! There’s a pledge for you.

Checklist

I think it’s a foregone conclusion that I did not vote for Pres. Obama. Yes, I do pray for him. No, I don’t hate him nor do I fear him. He is a man. The office he holds deserves my respect but his views on babies I do not respect and in fact I denounce. Killing unborn children is wrong.

However, I do know some folk, who despite being pro-life, voted for Obama for a number of other reasons. I wanted to quickly take a look at some of those reasons so as to better understand where we’re at…

Ended the war? NO.

Social justice? NO.

Economic justice? NO

U.S paying for international abortions? YES.

Federally funding embryonic stem cell research? YES.

The Whole World Loves U.S.now? NO. (Are you kidding?)

Alienating Israel? YES.

Getting the deficit and spending under control? NO.

Closed Gitmo? NO.

Nuclear-free world? NO.

Mr. Obama is slowly but surely becoming more disconnected with the American public and reality – which means he is living in a dream world.

It’s time to wake up.

SCOTUS

No, I don’t know a lot about the new SCOTUS nominee… yet. But I am working on it. She is believed to be pro-choice but yet she is also catholic. (Not sure how that works).

Anyway, I think most people have a working knowledge of the 3 branches of our government but, just in case you missed it in school, indulge me for just a moment.

There are 3 branches of Government…

20942_a_branches

  1. Legislative – Create Law
  2. Executive – Enforce Law
  3. Judicial – Interpret Law

Now, most people understand the difference between # 1 and # 3. However, a few don’t. So let me say it like this. Policy making and law creating is not the job of the Courts – any of them. Yes, that means the Supreme Court as well.

But this is apparently lost on Pres. Obama’s nominee:

No, Mr. President

The truth in this video is something I feel with everything inside of me! But instead of me writing about it,  I will let this video speak for itself…

Rightwing Extremism

Posted: April 14th, 2009 | Author: Ian Kelly | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , | 1 Comment »

I and other pro-life people like me (over half of Americans) are now apart of a right-wing conspiracy that must be “looked into” and treated as a terrorist network. Those are not my thoughts but those of the Obama admininstraton.

(h/t Lifenews.com)

Just months into his administration, President Barack Obama is already targeting pro-life advocates as the Obama administration has released a document that claims pro-life people may engage in violence or extremism. The new document comes on the heels of one in Missouri that caused a national uproar.

In the new document, the Department of Homeland Security warned law officials about a supposed rise in “rightwing extremist activity,” saying the poor economy and presence of a black president could spark problems.

According to the Washington Times, a footnote attached to the nine-page report from the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis say the activities of pro-life advocates is included in “rightwing extremism in the United States.”

“It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration,” the warning says.

The White House, sensing political backlash, is already distancing itself from the report.

White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said, “The President is focused not on politics but rather taking the steps necessary to protect all Americans from the threat of violence and terrorism regardless of its origins.”

If Pres. Obama is concerned about the “threat violence and terrorism” in this nation, I suggest that he take a look at abortion providers since over 1million babies will be violently put to death this year.

However, Pres. Obama’s alliagnace is to Planned Parenthood so alas, no investigation will be take place. No state and local police cooperation wil be needed. No administraion directives will be sent out in reagards to leftwing extremstis. Nope. Not neccessary. Afterall, killing babies is not the problem… us “angry pro-lifers” are the real threat.

Right?!
